In a Few Weeks

I have been such a slacker with my blog lately. We have been doing so many fun things, and taken a lot of pictures, but I have been so busy. We are going to Maui in three weeks, and as a favor to all the people who may see me at the beach in a bikini, I have started a boot camp Monday to Friday at 5:00am. Therefore, I go to bed at 8:30 every night (thanks to Brock for putting the boys to bed every night for these 6 weeks), I wake up at 4:30am, work out, get ready for work, take the boys to school, go to work until 5:00, pick up the boys, make dinner, watch a little T.V. and spend about an hour with my family, and then off to bed again to start all over. So far its been three weeks, and it hasn't been too bad. Of course I wish I had more time with the fam, but what can you do? Selfish people need to work, and work out. I guess a week in Maui with my husband and my boys (and of course my parents, thanks for the condo!)will more than make up for it right? Anyway, I hope to post a lot more often when I can stay up until a normal hour, like 10:00.

Fun in the Snow, a Tooth, and GO UTES!

Jace got new snow gear for Christmas, and Brock took him out to break it in.
Jace started out as King of the Mountain

Then Brock came to give him a run for his money...

...and lost.

Nixon has been working on his one and only tooth for a couple of weeks now. Can't see it too clear in this picture, but its there and we're so proud!

Friday night we had Brock's family over for yummy food and a great game. The Utes were, of course, victorious and everyone in the room was so ecstatic! A perfect season! GO UTES!

Christmas 2008

Well, a week has already gone by since Christmas, and the winter blues have definitely hit. I can not believe another year has come and gone. We had such a wonderful holiday season. We are so very blessed.
The Sunday before Christmas we got together with my family at my parent's house for a wonderful Christmas dinner and we split up into two teams and decorated gingerbread houses. Yes, everything has to be a competition with our family.
Here we are, just getting started

Here are the final products. No surprise, my team won. The other team kind of gave up after a little while, and I went all the way. It was a lot of fun.

Then came Christmas Eve. We always spend it at Brock's grandparent's house for dinner, Christmas stories, the verses from Luke, and we usually watch the cartoon version of The Grinch, but couldn't find it this year.

Here are the boys opening their jammies with Aunt Natalie's help.

Here they are with their cousin Beckett all in their new jammies.

Brock thought Jace needed to open one "real" present on Christmas Eve. It was a real "hit"!

Then came the big day. We woke up early so that Jace could open a few presents at our house before we headed to Brock's parent's house.
Here we are before we opened anything at Dale and Shauna's house.

Then it was off to my parents for more presents, and their annual smorgasbord.

Jace got a huge present from Granny and Grandpa. A cool easel with a chalkboard and a dry erase board. Woo Hoo!

This is Nixon with his cousin Jaylee. Nolan and Treo's 6 month old little girl. We all think they look quite a bit alike. Jace even kept calling Jaylee Nixon, and when I pointed to Nixon and asked him who it was, he got so confused and had to look at Jaylee a little closer to realize it wasn't Nixon. It was so funny.

Thanks to everyone. We had such an amazing Christmas. Hopefully I'll be able to post about New Years by this time next week!
