So Cool!

Jace does this move when he thinks he's cool, where he folds his arms, leans back to one side, makes a cool face, and nods his head.  He does it when he beats you at something, or listens to a cool song, or like when we were in Midway and he and Brock beat their record in ping pong, and hit the ball back and forth 9 times in a row!  It is seriously hilarious, and these pictures do NOT do it justice!  After church, again, while I was on my cruise, Brock found all three kids doing it.  Jace must have thought they had done something "cool move" worthy, and taught the others how to do it.

Green Eggs and... Pancakes!

I went on a cruise with all of the girls in Brock's family, and was so impressed when I came home and Brock told me that he had made green eggs and pancakes for St. Patrick's Day for the kids!  Not only that, but he took pictures!  He's really getting the hang of this blog thing!  He even made the pancakes in the shape of four leaf clovers!  Love him!

Looks mighty yucky to me, but the kids loved every bit of it!  Daddy is so cool!

Leila Lou

Some cute pictures of my Leila.  I call her Leila Lou all the time.  I guess it's like my mom calling me Jennie Louise, even though my middle name is not Louise. Leila loves my iPhone and iPad.  She knows how to go to Netflix and pick out a show to watch, and I just though it was so cute when I found her like this the other day.  Just relaxing, watching a show.

Classic Skating

Classic Skating in Layton had a free night for the kids at Foxboro Elementary and their families.  Jace really wanted to go, so I decided to take him and Nixon and have a fun adventure.  I haven't been roller skating in probably 15 years, and Jace and Nixon had never tried it, so lets just say, it was quite the adventure!  We didn't see anyone we recognized from Foxboro either, so Jace was a little disappointed.  We had tons of fun though!

Our cute boys with their skates on
I haven't laughed as hard as I did this night in a long time!  I was a bit rusty myself, and I was trying to keep two wobbly kids stable!  Jace couldn't figure out how to move forward.  He just stayed in place while his feet took turns moving forward and backward.  Nixon's wheels were plastic, so it was a little bit easier to move.  He basically was just walking.  I finally gave in and rented a little walker type thing to help Jace.

It didn't do much good though.  He still couldn't figure out how to propel himself.  I got behind him and pushed the walker while he held on and went for a ride.  After I felt like he gave it a valiant effort, I told him he could go get his scooter.  He was off on his own from then on.  Then Nixon got to use the walker.

I pushed Nixon around for a few laps, and then he decided he wanted his scooter too.

This is him jumping off of his scooter.

Love these two!
I asked someone to take a picture of the three of us to prove that I was indeed wearing skates.  Pretty cute right?  We really did have so much fun.  We ended up staying until 9:00, and my legs were so sore for the next couple of days!  Quite the workout!

Cupcakes at School

Okay, I lied.  Nixon got to celebrate again at school.  Since they went to the museum on his birthday, there wasn't time to do cupcakes, so I took some to school on Thursday.  I had Shauna take pictures for me since I had to work.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIXON!

Get Air!

Since Brock had to work kind of late on Nixon's birthday, we decided to go out the next night.  We went to McDonald's for dinner, Nixon's choice of course, and then headed to a fun trampoline place in Kaysville called Get Air.  It is a huge room covered in trampolines and fun foam pits to jump into.  Dale and Shauna brought Beckett, and the kids had so much fun!  Brock and I even got into it!

Nixon took this picture of Brock and I jumping.  Pretty good, right?

My gymnastics days came right back to me!

I missed the flip.  This was right before his sweet flip!

Beckett loved the foam pits the best.

Jace doing a spin jump.

Leila didn't much like jumping, so she'd sit down and slowly fall into the pit.

This is dark because Brock was so far away, but Jace and I tried to climb to the blue mat on top.  We both ended up making it by the end of the night!

Trying to get away from Jace

Leila loved to climb up and slide down over and over.

She got a little mad when we had to leave.

We don't take celebrating lightly around here!  I think this is the last of the birthday celebrations for a while!
