Leila turned 4 months old on the 14th, and she couldn't be any cuter. She is such a good baby, and has been sleeping through the night practically since birth. Since I started working last week, she has been taking a bottle and the transition went as smooth as possible. I am still nursing most mornings before I go to work, and then once during the evening, although I think I'm losing my milk supply, so that will probably end soon. I'm kind of sad about it, but at the same time, I am grateful that she has taken to the bottle so well. She has yet to roll over, but is really good at tummy time. I think she just likes to be on her tummy, so why roll over? She loves her bumbo, and loves to laugh. She really likes when she can hold onto your fingers for balance so she can stand up. She is a very happy, content baby, and we just love her so much. At her 4 month check up she weighed 13 lbs (35%), she was 25" long (90%), and I don't remember her head measurement, but it was 75%. She still suffers from blocked tear ducts (both eyes) and unless she's getting her eye drops her eyes are very goopy. The doctor did a culture and prescribed more drops, so yet again, we are prying her eyes open morning and night to get the drops in. This time for two weeks. We'll see. One of my favorite things to watch is Jace loving his baby sister. He is just the sweetest boy. He talks to her, and tries to make her laugh. He rubs her face and smiles at her. He is such a good helper, and she loves him so much. I've said this before, but one day she'll learn to love Nixon the way she loves Jace! He still asks "Why?" every time we tell him not to pinch her or "pat" her too hard, and to be soft with baby Leila. She is growing up so fast, and we just could not be more in love.
