Jace and Brock
Grandpa K was so nice to carry Leila, and she thought it was so comfy that she fell asleep!
One of the hikes we did was Butterfly
And one of the first creatures we saw along the way was a butterfly! Nixon and Beckett had to get close to check it out.
Nixon was such a trooper, and walked most of the day. He did make Brock carry him on his shoulders a few times though.
Jace though was such a big boy. He not only walked the whole day without complaining, but he insisted on being the leader the whole time. He was always in front of the line, and usually way in front. We had to tell him more than once to stop running, and wait for everyone else.
Grandma K, Brenda, Steve, Jace
We got to a cool cave. Here are the boys at the top of it.
Brett was freaking everyone out by standing a little too close to the edge.
Here is some of the group who ventured inside. It was pitch black! I didn't know what I was taking a picture of until my flash would go off.
Our family inside the cave. Leila was still sleeping on Grandpa's back.
When we came out of the cave, we got to see this cute little face awake!
Griffin hung out on top in his backpack. He does have red hair, but his backpack is making it look even more red!
We saw lots of lizards along the way.
Steve tried to catch them all. This one he actually caught for a few seconds until it jumped out of his hands!
The third mountain we climbed was probably the steepest. Jace made it to the top!
We're all at the top.
This is overlooking the first mountain we climbed.
And from this angle you can see the second. They don't look very big, and it doesn't look like we are as high as we were right then, but they were, and we were!
On our way back to the cars. Jace in front again.
Next, we headed to some sand dunes. The kids were in heaven!
Daddy helped the boys dig a whole.
And Uncle Brett buried Beckett!
Trying to get out.
Then, of course Jace and Nixon had to get buried.
Jace was acting like a monster.
Leila had to come check it out.
Finally Leila gets to bug her big brothers, and they can't do anything about it! She kept putting sand on their heads.
Time to get out.
Leila's turn!
When it was time to go, Leila was so mad! She cried and cried!
Since the kids were all dirty, and we were all hot and sweaty from hiking all day, we thought we needed to go swimming! This time I actually got in the water.
