Talon Rolls Over! What??

Nixon wanted to take some pictures again, and even though I look horrible, I figured we may as well see a day in the life of me - when I have a newborn.  I pretty much don't get ready.  I put some sweats on, and my robe and slippers, and pull my hair back.  I hardly leave the house unless I can't help it, and the kids stay in their jammies way to late into the day.  I'm lucky if I have a shower.  But Talon, you are worth it!  I had to get some pictures with Leila and Nixon talking to Talon, because they both do this all day long.  They get really close up to his face and start talking to him, and kissing him all over his face and head.  "Hey Talon!  Hey little buddy!  Hi Tal!  Hi Talon!"  I can tell that Talon just loves it.  (Sarcasm)
Then, I went upstairs to change T's diaper, and decided to give him some tummy time for a minute.  When I looked back he was on his back!  I asked the kids if they had pushed him over and they said no.  I didn't believe them, so I put him back on his tummy and told them not to touch him.  I looked away for a second, and again, he was on his back!  I asked the kids again, and they promised that he did it by himself, so I put him back on his tummy and watched him close.  He totally rolled over onto his back again!  I hurried downstairs to grab the camera, and caught him doing it!  Rolling over at 3 weeks??  That's not normal, right?

Underwear Party!

Our kids love to be in their underwear.  If they could never wear clothes again, they would be perfectly happy.  Actually, they'd all prefer to be naked, but we make them at least wear underwear.  I figured I had better get some pictures and document one of their fun "Underwear Parties" as we call them.  They love to dance and fight and play and run around, and pretty much be the crazy kids that they are, but in their undies.

Jace thinks he's so funny doing bunny ears to everyone lately.  When I asked him where he learned it, he said that he made it up!  Wow!  Pretty creative!

 I realized when I was getting pics of the older kiddos, that I really haven't taken many pictures of Talon.  I have a bunch on my phone since I always have that with me, but not many on our camera.  So I took some.  He was jealous that he had to be wearing clothes.

Planet Play

Brock got a Groupon, or some coupon for our family to go to Planet Play.  We have had it forever, and it was going to expire, so we decided to brave the cold, and head out to Draper.  It was pretty fun!  They have a pizza, salad, pasta buffet, and tons of fun games to play.  They even had mini golf, race cars, laser tag, and bumper cars.  The kids had a blast, and we pretty much stayed until it closed.

Dinner

Some of my friends came and brought us dinner the other night.  I love this tradition of getting together for a girl's night after one of us has a baby.  They wanted to come meet Talon, and of course, chat late into the night.  We had delicious BBQ chicken salad with rolls, chips and salsa, and caffeine free diet coke - at my request.  It was yummy.  I just love these girls so much, and am so glad that we've stayed so close since high school.

New Year's Eve

 New Year's Eve was a lazy day of not doing much.  Brock had to work, so the kids and I just hung out at home.  We went to Brett and Kallie's for homemade pizza, breadsticks, salad, and treats.  Then we played games, and at about 10:45 we decided to tell them that it was midnight in 15 minutes.  Yeah, we're pretty cool like that.  Brett went outside and lit the fireworks and we watched from inside since it was so so cold.  Then we got out all the noisemakers and the kids went nuts.  Well, a little nuts since Talon was sleeping.  Then we headed home, but not before Jace said, "They didn't even count down from 10!"  I told him it wasn't really midnight yet, and he got a little upset.  He wanted to stay until midnight.  By the time we got home though, he got out of the car and said he wanted to go to bed.  Love him.  Brock and I watched the ball drop in New York and gave each other a kiss to say good bye to 2012, and hello to 2013!  Then it was bed time for us too.  We're not very exciting these days!

On one of Nixon's Christmas lists, he said he wanted a gold tooth.  Don't ask, because I don't know.  I found this awesome sucker with these teeth on the end, and had to buy it!

Leila was feeling sick again on this day, and just wanted me to hold her.  I felt so bad when I had to feed or hold Talon, so I could usually just hold her with one hand.  She fell asleep like this.  

Aunt Brenda got the kids these fun 2013 glasses.  And Jace had to pull his cool move.

Talon fell asleep around 9:00pm and stayed asleep until around 2:30.  Too bad I didn't go to bed until after 1, so I didn't get to enjoy it!
