The Cabin

We went to the cabin on December 2nd to find a tree.  We woke up on Saturday, ate breakfast, and when Brett and Kallie got there we went to look for our Christmas trees.

Grandma stayed back with the kids.

Leila finally warmed up to the snow.

While the men were still working on tree number 3, the kids had fun sliding in the snow.

Even Leila got in on it.  She loved it!

All the boys do the whole time is eat snow.  Leila thought she had better give it a try.

She didn't want to close her mouth once she got some snow in there!  Every time she would just stick her tongue back out and spit it out.  That didn't stop her from doing it 20 times though.  Lick, spit, lick, spit, lick, spit.

The third and final tree took forever to cut through.

But it finally did fall.

Lugging the trees down to the trailer.

We realized that even to get them on the trailer we had to trim them down a bit.

Then it was back to the cabin for some lunch and games, or for me, a puzzle.  Jace and Grandpa decided to have an arm wrestle.

The next day it was back out into the snow for some sledding.  The kids all had a blast.  Leila loved it!  She would laugh and yell Yee Haw all the way down.  It was so fun.

Now it was getting to be about nap time, so again, if we put Leila down she cried.  Actually, if she was doing anything but sledding down the hill, she was crying.
