Here are a few pictures of the first couple of days after closing. We love love love the layout of this house, but it needed lots of work. So as soon as it was ours, we got to it. We worked and worked, and taped, and painted, and put doors in, and baseboards up, and had so much help from friends. We did that for about two weeks until it was finally ready to move in. There is still work to be done, besides unpacking and getting settled, but the main work is done. The next several posts will be us working on the house. We are so grateful for all the friends and family who made it look like a new home!

One of the first things I did was walk around to all the rooms and take down all the vinyl lettering they had put all over the walls. ALL OVER! |
Dale and Brock got to work installing door frames and doors where they were missing |
The kids had a dance party! |
Next up, filling all the holes where they had hung pictures, and whatever else. Again, ALL OVER! I had to get this scary pic of Brock rigging the ladder to hold him over the stairs! |
Then came the taping. The endless taping! We painted every single room, so we went through tons of it! Notice the awesome black walls in Leila's soon-to-be room. |
And the orange walls in the soon-to-be extra bedroom/laundry overflow. |
