Family Fun Night

Friday night, since it was the last day of school before Christmas break, I thought we should just hang out and make Christmas sugar cookies, and play together as a family.  I found a recipe for "swig" cookies and frosting, and tried that out.  They were super yummy!  But the most fun, was decorating them.  Daddy was in wrapping some presents while we were busy with cookies.

Leila took about 20 minutes on each of her cookies.  She would spread a little frosting, and then lick it off, then spread some more, and lick it off.  It was pretty funny.

Talon just wanted to eat his!

Still going on cookie #1

Jace was taking his time, getting meticulous

First cookie done!

Then, as usual, Jace's cookies started looking like zombies, and were covered in blood.

Leila got a little crazy with the sprinkles on this one!
Then we headed to the basement for a snowball fight!  Talon had gotten a bucket with "snowballs" in it for his birthday, and the kids had been wanting daddy and I to have a fight with them since then.

The (3 big) kids always sleep downstairs together in the family room on the weekends, and their favorite thing to do is to have daddy slide them down the stairs in their sleeping bags!

I sure love this sweet family of mine, and I love nights like these!
