Okay, so we may not have actually camped, but some of the Sanders family camps over the 4th of July every year, so we headed up to their campsite for dinner on Friday night. When we got there it was perfect. The kids were all running around having fun, while we sat around talking. Then we started to hear the thunder rolling in. It started to rain shortly after, and then hail! Luckily it only lasted about 20 minutes, and then it was clear skies again. It was a little chilly, but it was nice to get out of the heat! Dinner was so so good! Fried chicken, short ribs, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, broccoli cauliflower salad, and macaroni salad. Then I had tried something new for dessert that turned out pretty dang good! It was a chocolate chip cookie with pretzels on the bottom, then more pretzel peices and melted chocolate and peanut butter drizzled on top. It was delish! It was also my youngest cousin Cory's 12th birthday, so Aunt Susan had brought a red velvet cake. We know how to do camping right!

Justin and Maria had brought their canopy up which we all tried to huddle under and eat while it was raining. |

So fun! Maybe we'll actually camp one of these years!
