Ringing in the New Year

This year, as most years lately, we headed over to Brock's parent's house for our New Year's Eve celebrations. Usually for dinner though, we have a bunch of random appetizers and treats and just kind of graze all night long. This year, Brock's dad wanted to go out, so we braved the crowds and had a delicious dinner at Texas Roadhouse. One of our favorites. Then we headed over to their house for some Wii. Brock's aunt and uncle have Wii Fit Plus, and we have the new Super Mario and Guitar Hero, so it was a pretty entertaining night. Here are some pictures.

Here is Brock's Dad, Dale, golfing.

And his mom, Shauna doing some math with her hips. Hilarious!

Here's Jace trying to feed the penguin.

And me, biking.

Here is Brett skiing.

And even Nixon tried some step aerobics.

Kallie was a pretty good hula hooper.

And Brock did some sweet Kung Fu.

Sorry, as I am looking through these pictures, I'm realizing that watching the Wii in person, is way better than in pictures! Oh well, documentation right?
Then we brought out the big guns and got started on Guitar Hero World Tour. It was pretty fun.

Then it was time to head outside for the countdown. We had some pots and pans, and Jace had gotten this silly string in his stocking for Christmas, and was so excited to finally spray grandpa. Then we watched fireworks from the window. Too cold to go outside.

We had a lot of fun, and are excited for 2010! Happy New Year everyone!
