Easter

We had a really good Easter again this year. It started on Friday night when Jace, Nixon, and I went to my parent's house to color eggs with my brother Dane and his wife Annie and their girls Leah and Bella. Unfortunately, Jace wasn't very interested so he put one egg in the dye and walked away. Oh well, I had fun. Then, on Sunday, we went to Brock's parent's house for an Easter egg hunt. Jace got lots of Spiderman eggs and loved his basket. Brock and I also got a yummy basket filled with candy and other goodies. Then we went to Brock's grandparent's house for lunch. Then on to my parent's for another Easter egg hunt, and dinner. We are loaded up on candy. Our parents are so good to the grandkids. I wonder when we will have to do all the goodies for ourselves. When does that happen?

The boys love their aunt Juju

Brock had to go out of town for work this week, so Julia came to stay with us for a couple of days. Jace loves his aunt Julia, and since he has a hard time with his l's he calls her Juju. I took some pictures.

Last week, my mom came to stay with me to help with the baby too. She was so great. She would get up with Jace and bring me breakfast in bed. Then she would play with Jace all day and take Nixon so I could nap. It was so nice. Not to mention she made me lunch and dinner every day also. I was so spoiled. I love my mom and I am so grateful for her.

Nixon's First Baths

President's Club 2008

Brock and I went to Vegas last weekend with a group from his work. It was an all expense paid vacation that Brock was awarded for his hard work this last year. It was so much fun. We were a little nervous about leaving 1 week old Nixon, but we knew he would be in the best care with Brock's sweet parents.
We flew in Friday afternoon, and checked in to the Wynn. Our room was so nice. It was really great accomadations. We then went to a sweet suite for a nice welcome and then to dinner. I got a big plate of crab legs. Mmmmmmm, so good. Then, Saturday, we went to the Indi race track and got to go about 180 MPH around the track 3 times with a professional driver. It was AWESOME! Each time we got to the turns, I kept thinking in my head, "Don't flip, don't flip!" It felt like we were going to go tumbling at any second! Brock said he had a smile on his face the whole time. That night was a free night to spend as we chose, so Brock and I walked around on the strip and did a little shopping. Then Sunday, Brock was going golfing with a few of the guys, so I decided to get a nice, relaxing massage at the spa. It was so amazing. The spa was so nice. After my massage I sat in the steam room and then got ready to catch my flight back to Utah. We thought it was a little too mean to leave the newborn and Jace longer than that. Brock stayed through Tuesday and had a great time. I can only hope Brock wins President's Club next year too. I'll be able to leave the kids longer and enjoy myself more. It was really fun to get to know the people Brock works with (and their wives) a little better.

I just got home from the hospital today, and we took about a million pictures so I will post those shortly. Nixon was born on Thursday, the 28th of February, at 1:06 PM. He weighed in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. We are both doing well, and I will post more when I get a chance.
