Aida

I went with all of the Young Women leaders to go see Woods Cross's musical Aida.  Two of our young women are in it, one of them played Aida!  It was so good!  I loved it!  I had no idea that Aitana could sing like she did, but oh my gosh, she was amazing!  That makes all the difference for me.  I don't care how good the story is, if the singing is good, that's all I care about.  But this one, I really liked the story too.  We went to Robintino's for dinner first, and I got a picture of all of us at dinner.

Jace and The Braves

Jace played Junior Jazz basketball again this year.  His team was awesome!  They were the only team in their league who really followed the rules.  The other teams were traveling all over the place, double dribbling.  While our boys really knew what they were doing.  We won every game except maybe one.  I'm not positive about the one because they don't keep score, and I had lost track.  The last game we even won something like 50 - 6!  Jace scored 8 points in the last game!  His forte though, really is defense.  He is so good!  He guards his player, and never lets him or her past him, and is a great shot blocker.  He is always there for the rebound too.  He loves basketball, and says that's what he wants to do when he grows up now.  Football is too dangerous he says.  Oops!  I may have said that to him ;)

Jace is #2

He's always got his tongue out

He's right in front of that white #5, and threw a shot up!

Made it!

Another shot by Jace about to go in!
Coach Todd talked about Jace, and what a good defender and rebounder he is
Good job Jace!
The whole team

Frozen Sing-a-long

We thought it would be fun to take the kids to see Frozen again.  The theaters added subtitles during the songs so that the kids could sing along.  It was fun!  We have the soundtrack, and have listened to it no less than a million times, so the kids (and I) have all the songs memorized.  The kids were a little shy about singing very loudly in the theater with other people there, so they sang quietly, but it was still fun.

The boys wanted a picture by this Captain America poster

The Sleeping Beauty

Leila was in her first ballet performance with Creative Arts Academy.  They put on The Sleeping Beauty.  It was so fun to watch her!  I wish they had more than one performance a year, but...

Here she is all ready to head out.  I think she looks so cute in her Utes warm ups

We got there really early to be sure to get good seats, and I headed to the back with her to get her costume on, and wait for her class

spinning

They had lots of fun things for the girls to do while they waited

She was really scared, and didn't want me to leave her.  I was so nervous for her!  I really didn't want her to get on stage, and get scared, and cry, or run off the stage.  She kept saying that she wanted to be where daddy was.  I told her that daddy and I would be sitting in the audience, and when she got on stage she could look for us, and we'd be right there.  She was hesitant, but finally said I could go.  I went and took my seat.
They said no flashes, so this is the only shot I have of her on stage.  You can't even see her!
She did so great!  We have video of it, and I am so happy because she followed her teacher up there, and did all the moves, and didn't look scared at all!  My favorite part of the whole performance though, was at the end.  As soon as they hit their end pose and stood to go off stage, she put her hands up to her eyes trying to block all the bright lights and looked and looked for me and daddy!  All her class went off stage, and she was left standing alone looking for us!  There were a bunch of us in the audience, and we were all waiving at her, but the lights were so bright in her eyes, and the audience was so dark that she couldn't see us.  Her teacher ran back on stage and took her hand and led her off stage.  It was seriously one of the cutest things I have ever seen!  It made me so happy, and I even got a little teary-eyed!  She was on stage for about 1 minute of the whole play, but I couldn't have been prouder of my little ballerina!
Daddy brought her flowers

She loved them, and wanted to smell them
Cute Addison came with Jessi to watch her
Aunt Brenda came
Izabel came with Lynette
Of course Grandma and Grandpa K were there.  Granny and Grandpa came too, but they left as soon as it was over.  Aunt Natalie brought Gracie too, but I didn't get a picture of them darn it!
Daddy and I were just so proud!

I love this picture!  These boys loved watching their sister perform!

Painting and Demolition!

Grandma and Grandpa K are redoing a bunch of things in their house, and first on the agenda was tearing down some walls!  They invited the kids over to paint and color the walls before they tore them down.  I had Young Women's, so just Brock and the kids went.  Beckett and Griffin were there too.

Then, another day, they invited us back to help knock the walls down!  The boys thought it was so fun!

Leila thought she could punch the walls down!

On to the next wall

It looks so open!
