Jace is Getting Baptized!

I can not believe that this sweet boy of mine is going to be getting baptized next month.  His birthday is next week, but because of General Conference, he has to wait another week to do it.  We went out to This is the Place Heritage Park to get some pictures of him in his new suit that he picked out, and I am just so happy with them!  He is so handsome, and looks so old!  Stephanie outdid herself yet again with her photography skills!

I love this picture so much, and may keep it in a frame in my home for the rest of my life!

Um...do they come any handsomer?

This is the one we chose for his invitation/announcement.  I love it!

BINGO!

Our cute friend Jules invited us all out to play Bingo.  It was such a fun night, and out of the 7 of us that went, 5 were winners!  Including me!  Well, if you count $2 as winning, which I do.  We got there, bought our bingo markers, got yummy dinner, and then the fun started!  We were there until about 10:00, and I didn't want it to ever end.  I love Bingo!  We were the youngest ones there, for sure, and when we would yell out and cheer when one of our group won, we would get shshshsh'd, but it was a blast!  Jessi was the big winner with $101, Jayne won $83, Jules won $15, I won $2, and Lynette won $1.  We will definitely be doing this again!

First things first, we bought our markers

Cafeteria style dinner was actually pretty good!

This is where we first won the small money.  They had numbers already called out, and we had to just mark our sheets when we sat down.  If you had any Bingos from that, you got $1 each.  I had 2.

We went up to collect our big money!

At the end of the night, we had to get a picture with Dorothy, our sweet new friend who helped us all along the way, since there were parts that were confusing that no one explained.

At the end of the night.  Lots of marks, but only those two wins from the beginning.  It's okay, I still managed to have a little fun!

Utah vs. Oregon State

The Utah/Oregon State game was at 8:00 at night, so we decided to get a babysitter (thanks Granny) and invite Todd and Heather to come with us.  It was such a fun, exciting game, and the only thing that would have made it better is if we would have won!  It went into overtime, and they won by 3, and we didn't get home until 1:00am!  We were so glad we left the kids at home.  That would have been miserable, and it was so fun to have Todd and Heather there!

Leila Playing Soccer

Leila did much better at her second game, and only cried for a few minutes.  She played most of the game because there were always at least 4 players who were crying, or wouldn't come out and play for some other reason.  I don't know how we ended up with all the criers, especially because there are only 2 girls!  Anyway, I was glad she played so much, so I could get some pictures.

I love this one.  This is what she does any time she kicks the ball, or does something equally as impressive.  She has to look at me to make sure I saw her, and she is just so happy about it!  I love it!

Leila's First Day of Preschool!

I can't believe my baby girl is in preschool!  She has been counting down the days until she got to go to "Nixon's old school".  And since the boys are on year round, and have been in school since the end of July, she's been asking about when she gets to go to school a lot!  Well, the day finally came, and she was beyond excited, as you can tell from her pictures.

Saying bye to Talon

So lucky to have Grandma K as her teacher

Austin's 3rd Birthday!

Austin invited Nixon and Leila to play with him at a trampoline place for his 3rd birthday.  They loved it!  I was so sad that I couldn't go because I had to be at the house when our new sectional and bed came.  Thankfully Lynette took some pictures of my kids for me.

First Night

We are all so excited to be in our new house.  We have been living with Grandma and Grandpa K for the last 6 months, and as great as it has been, and as much as we have really loved living with them, we were excited to finally be in our own place again.  We can't tell you how wonderful it was to live with them.  They were so kind, so accommodating, so patient, and so giving.  They let us have 3 of their bedrooms, and we basically took over the rest of the house too!  They put up with kids getting up in the middle of the night, a newborn baby, Leila needing someone to lay with her until she fell asleep at night, cooking dinner for 5 extra people every day, early mornings, late nights, messes all the time, and just plain craziness for 6 months, and we never heard a word of complaint!  Maybe they complained to other people about us ;), but we never heard it!  We are just so lucky to have had that time with them, and although we're sad it's over, we are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives.

Here is a glimpse of what we have in store!

The kids' beds weren't put together, so they got to have a sleepover in the family room downstairs.    They were all scared though, so Daddy slept down there with them.

Talon slept in a crib for the first time ever!  He was in a pack n play at our house, and then in a little cradle at Grandma and Grandpa's house because there was no room for a crib.  He did great, and slept all night!

First Day of Soccer!

For some reason this season all of the games are on Saturdays.  That makes for some busy days.  And a couple of times their games overlap.  I guess we were lucky though, because some of my friends only have a couple of days when their kids DON'T overlap.
Today's games were at 10, 11, and 12, and at 3 completely different parts of the city, so it was a bit of a puzzle to get everyone where they needed to be.  Luckily they had Grandma K and Natalie to help.
Jace, and the Neon Ninjas were up first, and Jace did great!  I missed about the first half of the game, where he scored one of their 3 goals, and had a sweet save as goaly.  Darn it!  He and his team sure are awesome!

Up next was Miss Leila and the blue sharks.  I stayed at Jace's game until it was over, so Shauna took her to her game, and I got there about 15 minutes late.  She had been doing great until I got there.  Then she fell apart, and just wanted to sit with me and cry.  I didn't get any pictures of her playing, because I had to be out there with her holding her hand, but luckily Jessi got a few cute ones...of her crying.  Good thing she's cute in her uniform!

This is only half of the team.  The other half was crying or scared, or something else.  How did we end up with all the cryers??  At least Leila went in for the team cheer!
Last, but not least was Nixon and the Green Hornets.  I'm not sure how he and Jace both ended up with these florescent jerseys, but whoa!  They are bright!    Nixon played great.  He likes to hang out a little bit behind the crowd, but every once in a while he'll get in there.  He had a couple of awesome assists!

Our cute soccer players!
I thought it was pretty funny that both boys have the same color AND numbered jersey...
Then I realized that Leila was number 6 too!  Um...bad omen?
