Christmas 2008

Well, a week has already gone by since Christmas, and the winter blues have definitely hit. I can not believe another year has come and gone. We had such a wonderful holiday season. We are so very blessed.
The Sunday before Christmas we got together with my family at my parent's house for a wonderful Christmas dinner and we split up into two teams and decorated gingerbread houses. Yes, everything has to be a competition with our family.
Here we are, just getting started

Justin, Dane, and me

Leah, me, and Brock

Here are the final products. No surprise, my team won. The other team kind of gave up after a little while, and I went all the way. It was a lot of fun.

Then came Christmas Eve. We always spend it at Brock's grandparent's house for dinner, Christmas stories, the verses from Luke, and we usually watch the cartoon version of The Grinch, but couldn't find it this year.

Here are the boys opening their jammies with Aunt Natalie's help.

Here they are with their cousin Beckett all in their new jammies.

Brock thought Jace needed to open one "real" present on Christmas Eve. It was a real "hit"!

Then came the big day. We woke up early so that Jace could open a few presents at our house before we headed to Brock's parent's house.
Here we are before we opened anything at Dale and Shauna's house.

Then it was off to my parents for more presents, and their annual smorgasbord.

Jace got a huge present from Granny and Grandpa. A cool easel with a chalkboard and a dry erase board. Woo Hoo!

This is Nixon with his cousin Jaylee. Nolan and Treo's 6 month old little girl. We all think they look quite a bit alike. Jace even kept calling Jaylee Nixon, and when I pointed to Nixon and asked him who it was, he got so confused and had to look at Jaylee a little closer to realize it wasn't Nixon. It was so funny.

Thanks to everyone. We had such an amazing Christmas. Hopefully I'll be able to post about New Years by this time next week!

Fun Christmas, what cute kids and PJ's. I can't believe all of the sickness! We were taking turns getting sick at our house, it is not fun! I think having kids brings in a ton more germs and sickness!
