November 2010

We had such a great month in November. My parents came from Malaysia, and were able to be with us for almost the whole month. My niece Leah turned 6, we went to St. George to visit Nolan and Treo and kids, and we got together with almost the entire Sanders family for a reunion at Aspen Grove over Thanksgiving. (That will be its own post later) We also potty trained Nixon. He wasn't as quick as Jace, who only took 2 days, but he was great, and took about 5 days to get the hang of it. We are so happy to only have one in diapers!
Here are a few pictures. I didn't take as many as I would have liked to.

We had a small gathering for Leah's 6th birthday. What a cutie! She's getting so big!

Leila is getting really good at sitting on her own, and here are some pictures of her in a high chair. Such a big girl!

Here is a random one of our nephew Beckett. He found this hat, and Natalie's boots and said "I'm Woody!" So cute!

There was a big scare about "The worst blizzard to hit Utah in a century" so work was cancelled for two days for me, and a half day Tuesday and Wednesday for Brock. It ended up being pretty much nothing. I guess that was a blessing. It did snow a little bit though, so the boys got all dressed up to shovel the driveway.
Jace and Nix thought they needed goggles.

Leila and I stayed inside where it was warm.

Leila is 7 months now (she was in these pictures), and she started eating fruits and vegetables. We got her started with green beans. Mean, I know.

Um, I don't know about this. Mommy, why are you laughing?

Okay, this really isn't very good.

Whoa! Nasty!

Mommy! Stop laughing! Where is my rice cereal?!

Daddy, isn't there something you can do? Stop taking pictures!

Again?!?!

Just as a side note: She loves all fruits and vegetables now, and doesn't make any faces!
Nixon loves to share his food with his sister. So sweet. This is how I found her after doing the dishes one day.

This was Nixon's lick-a-stick. Yummy. I constantly have to tell Nixon that babies can't eat anything big boys eat. He thinks I'm being mean, and just wants to share.

We went to St. George for a long weekend so that my parents could meet Nolan and Treo's newest baby Kash. My aunt and uncle Robin and Craig came with my cousin Melanie and their daughter Alison. Julia came too. It was lots of fun.

Here is Jace, Nixon, Robin, Leila, Granny (my mom), Alison, and half of Craig. They went on a little hike up a slotted canyon.

Brock and the boys.

There was an outdoor pool at our condos and even though it was pretty windy, and slightly chilly outside, the boys had to go.

They spent most of the time in the hot tub, but they did venture into the pool. BRRRRR!

Leila and I just watched and dipped our feet in the hot tub.
We got to spend lots of time with Granny and Grandpa, although, its never enough, and their time here always goes way to fast. And like I said, we got to spend a fun-filled weekend at Aspen Grove. That will be my next post.

Sounds like you have been busy/fun :) I love the food pictures, those are hilarious! Addy likes her veggies but doesn't care for fruit ha ha ha. How sweet of Nixon to share too. Your family is adorable and I hope to see you again when you come this way ;) I bet it's great to have your parents back!

Always love your posts Jenn. Great pictures! (and commentary). I love the one eating the green beans where she has one eye closed and one open. (LOL) (I hate LOL).

Green Bean Face is almost as good as Lemon Face. Loved the pics Jenn. You had me laughing too. (It's that warped Sanders sense of humor.)

Love you,

Dad
