Halloween Party at the Miners

On Sunday, October 23rd Brenda and Steve invited us all over for a Halloween party at their house.  The only rule: You MUST dress up!
Batman, Robin, Black Spiderman, Skunk, and Indiana Jones
Grandma Bills
Stu and Chelsea: The Situation and  a cat
Brett, Kallie, Beckett, and Griffin: Iceman, a cat, Spiderman, and a zebra
Brenda and Steve: a Viking and a scary guy
Had to get her fur boots
Grandpa and Grandma K: A Ute fan in hiding, and Eve

Good and Bad spiderman
First game the kids played was bowling with pumpkins
Jace got a SPARE!

The next game was to look all over her front and backyards to find as many ghosts as they could.
Batman was overlooking the party

Ooh, there's one on the playground!

Leila found one too!
And then took a break to play.
So did Nixon.
Brenda had set up a big spiderweb for the kids next.
They each had a different color string, and had to follow it to the treasure
It was these cool pumpkin flashlights!

Next up, decorating cookies.

We played a version of musical chairs after this.  There were several different hats and things to wear on the ground in a circle and we'd walk around to the music.  As soon as it would stop we'd all grab for something.  There were the same amount of things as people, and Brenda would pick someone to be out.  Somehow, the winners ended up being Jace, Nixon, and Beckett!  Hmmmm, suspicious!
Next was mummy wrapping.

Nixon and Brock made some pretty cute mummies!

This party was so well-planned, and so much fun!  I hope this becomes a yearly tradition!  Thanks Brenda and Steve for being such great hosts!

Day 3: Continued

Okay, so I'm not quite sure what has been happening to my computer since my last post, but I have been getting errors saying that Blogger is no longer compatible with my browser.  Brock switched my browser for me, and now Blogger is set up so differently from how it used to be!  I am so confused!  Anyway, here is the beginning of Day 3 in St. George.  Lots of hiking pictures.  It was a beautiful day, and we had a lot of fun.

Jace and I made it to the top of this mountain first, so we had to take a picture.

Everyone else making their way up.

Once I told Nixon to hurry so he could be King of the Mountain, he started running!

"I am the King of the Mountain!"

The sky was just beautiful.

And so was the scenery behind us.

It's too bright!

Jace did not like to wait at the top of every hike.  As soon as everyone made it to the top, he was ready to head back down, and got a little upset when everyone else wanted to relax for a minute and enjoy the scenery...and catch their breath!
