4th of July

We had a long fun-filled day on the 4th.  It started with the West Bountiful Parade in the morning.  Brock decided to work so that he could take another day off since it was on a Wednesday this year.  So he missed the activities for the first half of the day.  Brett and Kallie live on the parade route, so we always go over there for some yummy breakfast and to watch the parade.

All the Keddington grand kids waiting for the parade to start

So patriotic as the flag went by.

I didn't take any others while the parade was going, but here is the loot afterwards!  Tons of candy!  They also got frisbees, and Jace even got a stuffed bear!

Cute kids in their red white and blue

Then we headed over to the park for some fun festivities.  The kids all wanted their faces painted, so that's where we started.  Jace, Nixon, and Beckett were all going at the same time.

Slowly turning into the Green Lantern

Spiderman

And another Spiderman

Awesome!

So cool!

Then it was Leila's turn.  She wanted a butterfly.

Seeing herself in the mirror.  She got a big smile on her face!

Pretty stinkin' adorable!

Next up was balloons!
Beckett was first, and he wanted a dog.

Then Jace.  He wanted a dog too.

Nixon always wants a sword.

Griffie's wanted a sword too!

Then Leila was up, and she wanted a flower.

So pretty!

We did some more fun activities, like the bounce house, fishing for prizes, and a bean bag toss before heading home for a little break from the heat.  Then when daddy got home we went to Aunt Brenda's house for a BBQ.  They just got a new hot tub, so that was the most popular spot.  They had turned the heat down a little bit, so it was nice.

After we wiped her butterfly off, it kind of left a little bit of black between her eyebrows and made her look like she has a unibrow!

The boys would swim for a while, and then jump for a bit, then swim, then jump.

Jace always has to make faces. I usually delete them, but not this one.

Leila gets to have trampoline time to herself because the big boys are too rough.

Griffin thinks the boys make it more fun!

After dinner, and more swimming and playing, we went to the front for some fireworks.  Brett was the lighter.

The kids thought they were so funny to get really close, and pretend they were sleeping.

And then as soon as the firework would start they'd get up and run away!

They're so funny!  They did it over and over.

The whole gang.  Those silly boys and their bums!
