Matt and Julia had the ultrasound to find out the gender of their baby, but they had the doctor put the results in an envelope, and gave it to a friend. They then had that friend boil 11 eggs, and leave one raw. Then they dyed half the eggs blue, and half pink. They made sure to dye the raw one the color of the gender of the baby. They gathered together with Matt's family at Matt's parent's house for dinner, and our family all met together at our house. After dinner, they called us via Facetime so that we could all be a part of finding out the results. It was so fun to watch as they each took turns grabbing an egg and trying to crack it over their heads.
They tried a couple blues, and a couple pinks before Julia grabbed about the 4th or 5th egg, which happened to be pink, and cracked it over her head.
That was the one! A raw egg all over her hair! IT'S A GIRL!
I am so excited for them, and can't wait to meet this baby girl in October!
